Day 1: Hanoi Arrival – Night train to Lao Cain (D)
Upon arrival at Noi Bai International airport, meet by our representative and transfer to downtown. Dinner at local restaurant. Then transfer to Hanoi train station for an overnight train to Lao Cai. Overnight on train in a superior 4-berth compartment sharing with other passengers.

Day 2: Sapa – Bac Waterfall – Cat Cat Village (B/L/-)
The train arrives at the Lao Cai train station at approximately 6:00am; you will be transferred to Sapa. After breakfast at local restaurant, you will be transferred uphill to visit the famous Bac Waterfall and then onto Tram Ton, the highest mountain pass in Vietnam at 1,800 m above sea level for enjoying the magnificence of Hoang Lien Son Mountain Range as well as over viewing spectacular landscapes of the whole area, stretching endlessly. Then get back to Sapa for lunch and check-in hotel.
In the afternoon there will be a walking tour to the hill tribe villages of Cat Cat, home to the H'mong hill tribe minority peoples. As you walk to the villages nestled in the valley below Sapa, you will meet some of the local minority people on their way to and from Sapa. Here you will have the opportunity to share cultural experiences with the families that live in the area. Accommodation at hotel in Sapa.
Day 3: Ham Rong Mountain – Night train to Hanoi (B/L/-)
After breakfast at hotel, you climb up to Ham Rong Mountain, which gives you a great panoramic view over Sapa and its surrounding areas, visit the orchid gardens with beautiful and colorful flowers, enjoy ethnic traditional show by local ethnic boys and girls. Lunch at local restaurant then board on night train back to Hanoi. Overnight on train in a superior 4-berth compartment sharing with other passengers.

Day 4: Hanoi - Halong Bay Cruise & stay overnight on Board (B/L/D)
Following breakfast, cruise shuttle bus picks you up and travel to the spectacular World Heritage site of Halong Bay in the Gulf of Tonkin (approximately four hours). Arrive at your jetty in Halong City towards noon and proceed with check-in formalities. After your welcome onboard, a lunch will be served while cruising towards the bay itself. In the afternoon, enjoy some visits and/or activities (depending on each boat’s itinerary) or just spend some time relaxing on board. Towards the end of the day the boat sets anchor for the night among the karst formations. Dinner is served on board. Overnight on board in Halong Bay.

Day 5: Halong Bay Cruise – Hanoi (B/L/-)
Enjoy your fresh morning in the middle of the bay, the sun rises on Halong in the morning and breakfast is served (brunch on some boats) while the vessels cruises slowly through the magnificent rock formations and back towards port. Disembark and transfer by the cruise shuttle bus back to Hanoi. Check-in hotel. Free at leisure and overnight at hotel in Hanoi.
Day 6: Hanoi Departure (B)
There is no activity planned for today. Enjoy your free time for souvenir shopping or relax until transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
